This original oil painting by kenyan contemporary artist mike kyalo depicts a bike rider transporting a woman and a luggage. These bike taxis are reffered to as boda bodas. They are the common mode of transport in Kenya and the larger Africa to medium and low income earners. 

Boda bodas are preferred because they are relatively cheaper that the conventional taxis and also they are able to beat the long traffic jams that characterize african cities.
