Kintu Paul

Paul Kintu is from Kampala Uganda. Paul Kintu inspired to start painting after visiting the Ngoma art studio in Bukoto. In the first year, he supported himself by brick laying in the day time while painting at night. He did not realize that it was possible to be a full time artist until he sold his first paintings at the AKA gallery in 2004.
Paul Kintu’s art is inspired by the day to day events of his surrounding environment. He uses acrylic and oils on canvas as his main medium to express the key environmental issues.
His art is influenced by the naive technique of children. Paul Kintu also likes to capture childhood memories and bring them back to life on canvas.
